Why visit

The White Rocks, also known as Elephant Rocks, resemble the backs of resting elephants. The two-kilometre walking route from Jítrava follows gentle terrain and is one of the easiest rock trips in the Lusatian Mountains.

The rocks are visible from the road, and the red trail from the small car park reaches them in about twenty minutes at a very slow pace. Even younger children can manage the gentle ascent.

The strikingly pale sandstone forms rounded blocks, narrow passages and small hollows. This is a protected natural monument, so climbing directly on the rocks or damaging them is prohibited.

Those with energy to spare can continue along the international nature trail towards Vraní skály. This longer option crosses more demanding terrain and is not suitable for pushchairs.
