Why visit
The Pačinek Glass site combines the outdoor Glass Garden, art glass and a chance to watch glassmakers at work. Children especially enjoy the garden filled with glass plants and animals.
Glass flowers, leaves and other objects are placed directly among living plants. The garden therefore looks different in morning and evening light and through the seasons, as the glass mingles with greenery, autumn colours or frost.
The site includes a traditional glassworks where visitors can watch handcrafting at close range, as well as a cutting workshop and a sales gallery of modern glass. A visit follows the product from molten glass through finishing to the completed artwork.
The garden is not merely an addition to the glassworks but an outdoor exhibition in its own right. Its combination of real and glass plants offers a slightly different experience each time and also works well as a shorter stop with children.
