Why visit

Klíč is one of the best-known peaks in the Lusatian Mountains. The climb leads through forest and finishes on a steeper rocky slope, rewarded by extensive views across the landscape.

This isolated phonolite peak has a striking conical to pyramidal shape and forms a prominent landmark above Svor and Nový Bor. The final section is the most demanding, with the path winding up a rocky slope.

The route passes Kamzičí studánka spring and a stone sea. The summit offers a panoramic view of the Lusatian Mountains and more distant countryside; in exceptionally clear weather, Mount Říp can also be seen. Klíč is especially striking at sunset and in autumn colours.
