Our tip
Why visit
Follow in the footsteps of Saint Zdislava to Jablonné v Podještědí and Lemberk Castle. The walking circuit links the historic centre with the basilica and castle; at Dvorní Pond you can add a ride on the zip line.
In Jablonné, visit the Basilica of St Lawrence and St Zdislava. The Baroque church, built between 1699 and 1729, stands over the tomb of Saint Zdislava, who founded a hospital, Dominican monastery and church in the town with her husband Havel.
Lemberk Castle developed from a castle founded in the mid-13th century by Havel of the Markvartic family. It acquired its present appearance during the Baroque rebuilding of 1660 to 1680. On the tour you can see the castle chapel, the Bajkový Hall with its Renaissance coffered ceiling and rooms commemorating Zdislava.
At Ráj pod Lemberkem, you can ride a 205-metre zip line above Dvorní Pond. The ride is supervised by an instructor; before visiting, check current opening hours and any weather restrictions.
